In the Februaury 19, 2005 Guardian reported "a panel of American regulatory scientists ruled that Celebrex significantly increased the risk of cardiovascular problems, although all but one said it should remain on the market as the benefits outweighed the risks."
Also,
"Peter Kim, president of Merck research labs, said: "If the advisory committee and FDA conclude that the benefits of this class outweigh risks in some patient populations, then we would have to consider the implications of this new data, given the unique benefits Vioxx offers."
These "unique benefits" most certainly will help their sagging bottom line and The MERCK shareholders. They will not uniquely benefit 100,000 + patients possibly killed by VIOXX nor their families!
What kind of benefits can the dead hope to receive, fresh flowers on their graves?
MERCK is a heartless menace making billions of dollars selling dangerous drugs to its unsuspecting victims who believe THE CHOLESTEROL MYTHS.
The most heinous examples of MERCK's avarice may be their two US Patents issued in 1990 combining COQ10 with their cholesterol lowering statin drugs.

Two Citizen's Petitions filed by Julian Whitaker, M.D. and Cardiologist Peter H.
